David joined Campton Insurance Brokers (UK) Ltd in 1987 and has steadily moved up the Campton employment ladder, taking over from his father, John, as Managing Director in 2007. David has a broad knowledge of insurance products and is part-qualified with CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) exams. David is also Compliance Officer making sure that the stringent rules and regulations set out by the FSA (Financial Services Authority) are adherred to.

John joined the company when it was founded in 1965 by his step-father George Campbell (Camp) and Mr Meaton (ton). His vast knowledge of insurance has held him in good stead over the last 40 years and he stepped down last year, leaving David to run the company, although he remains a Director and Commercial Insurance Executive working most days either in the office or visiting clients.
