CII (Chartered Insurance Institute)

DVLA (Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency
The DVLA primary aims are to facilitate road safety and general law enforcement by maintaining registers of drivers and vehicles, and to collect vehicle excise duty (car tax).
FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service)
The FOS is an independent service for settling disputes between businesses providing financial services and their customers. The FOS can consider complaints about a wide range of financial matters - from insurance and mortgages to savings and investments. Their service is free to consumers.
FSA (Financial Services Authority)
The FSA is an independent body that regulates the financial services industry in the UK.
IIB (Institute of Insurance Brokers
The Institute (IIB) was formed in 1987 as a professional association for over 1,000 insurance broking firms throughout the UK and represents their interests to HM Government, the Financial Services Authority, the EEA Commission and Parliament and all other relevant bodies throughout the World. It is a non-profit distributing organisation, limited by guarantee.
MIIC – Motor Insurers Information Centre
The Motor Insurance Database was set up by the insurance industry to help combat uninsured drivers, and is now helping the UK comply with the 4th EU Motor Insurance Directive, which requires that insurance details of all vehicles in member states, can be easily accessed by a national information centre.
